I will never use Generali again. When the Iran war started I delayed my Egypt tour until November 2026. I sought to contact Generali multiple times, multiple days, and multiple ways which were totally frustrating experiences. I was severable to contact the company. I left a very stinging review of the company's incompetence on Trust Pilot having seen others with similar experiences.
Therefor I will never attempt to use Generali not shall I use Squaremouth either for my travel insurance needs which are about twice a year.
The Generali claim process is entirely online. I am not expert in loading documents they want. I spent over 6 hours trying to file a $200. claim. They rejected my claim. I am not wasting any more of my time. I will never buy from you or them in the future.

Having experience less than satisfactory claims service from other carriers, it was refreshing to find a compay that places such a high regard upon its customer service as Generali Global Assistance. Due to mechanical issues with airline flights, I've had to file two claims in the past year with Generali. In both instances, the claims process was clear, straightforward and easy to complete. Both claims were approved quickly and fairly and payments were received electronically within a few days. In fact, my last claim took a total of only three days from submission of claim to recipt of payment. With excellent policy coverage, reasonable fees, and quick and efficient claims servicing, Generali Global Assistance has become my "go to" carrier for all my travel insurance needs.

I was pleased with customer service on explaining to me how the medical look back coverage works, which was not documented as such.
I have chosen policies in the past from Generali because the coverage amounts it protects me for, and cost. I can't speak on how they handle claims because I haven't submitted any claims so far, and hope that I don't have to, but if I do I think that they will do right for me.
